Why does Bush get a free pass on lying about Iraq and getting 4,000 Americans killed for nothing?
Question by Newell: Why does Bush get a free pass on lying about Iraq and getting 4,000 Americans killed for nothing?
Not to mention spending us into a hole on Chinese Credit Cards to fight the war---only war in America history with NO increase in taxes---kicking the can down the road for Obama---while Bush ran the printing presses day and night to make phony money. My Dad left me money when he died in 2005. I bought Gold Krugerrands at $ 465 an ounce. Now worth $ 1500 an ounce. In other words, the Bush Iraq war made the U.S. Dollar worth 1/3 of what it was.
I am just grateful I had the brains to realize that you CAN'T have a war WITHOUT raising taxes. I knew Bush was destroying the dollar.

Why would somebody have a box full of gold coins?
Question by R: Why would somebody have a box full of gold coins?
He gave me one. Says it's a "Krugerrand". He has a LOT of them. I assume the only reason he still has them is because no body's willing to steal from a guy that used to be Russian Special-Forces.
What's the point of it though? I mean... Why would somebody want them? Also, how much is it worth, and where could I get rid of one?
He's not a spy. It's a small town with nothing going on within 2 provinces (Canadian, by the way).
I also like the idea of having $ 1300 sitting in my pocket.

ROFLMAO!!! They are worth about $ 1300 each. People keep them because they are good no matter what the value of the dollar is and when the dollar goes down, their value goes up. Krugerrand's are an ounce of pure gold. You can sell them at any reputable coin shop. However, if you hold on to it, it could reach $ 2000 in another 6 months to a year. Google gold prices. They are a hedge against inflation.
